Nirnaya Shrestha, professionally known as Nirnaya Da’ NSK (Naughty Soul Kid), is a pioneering figure in Nepal’s hip-hop scene. He began his musical journey in the late 1990s, releasing his debut album, “For You All,” in 1999.
This album marked a significant milestone in introducing hip-hop to the Nepali music industry.
Throughout his career, Nirnaya has been instrumental in popularizing rap music in Nepal, inspiring a new generation of artists. His distinctive style and commitment to the genre have earned him a prominent place in the country’s music history.
In addition to his musical endeavors, Nirnaya is known for his philanthropic efforts. He and his team hold a record certified by the World Book of Records, London, for distributing the most scholarships in the least amount of time.
Furthermore, he participated in “Melancholy,” an environmental song featuring 365 Nepali artists, which holds the Guinness World Record for “Most Vocal Solos in a Song Recording.”
After a period away from the public eye, Nirnaya made a notable return to the music scene in 2022, preparing to launch a new album, his second in almost a decade.
This comeback highlights his enduring influence and dedication to the evolution of Nepali hip-hop.
